On March 19,2026, Bekzhan Beishekeev was served an arrest warrant related to charges filed by the Jay County Prosecutor's Office stemming from a crash occurring in Jay County, Indiana on February 3, 2026.
Beishekeev has been charged in Jay Circuit Court with seven criminal counts:
Count 1: Reckless Homicide, a level 5 felony for the death of Menno Eicher; Count 2: Reckless Homicide, a level 5 felony for the death of Simon Girod; Count 3: Reckless Homicide, a level 5 felony for the death ofHenry M. Eicher; Count 4: Reckless Homicide, a level 5 felony for the death of Paul Eicher; Count 5: Criminal Recklessness, a level 6 felony for causing serious bodily injury to Donald Stipp; Count 6: Criminal Recklessness, a class A misdemeanor for causing bodily injury to Henry H. Eicher; Count 7: Criminal Recklessness, a class A misdemeanor for causing bodily injury to William H. Eicher
A level 5 felony is punishable by imprisonment between 1 and 6 years and a maximum $10,000 fine.
A level 6 felony is punishable by imprisonment between 6 months and 2 1/2 years and maximum $10,000 fine
A class A misdemeanor is punishable by imprisonment for up to 1 year and a maximum $5,000 fine
Beishekeev is currently being held in the Jay County Security Center.
